Dear Heaven Maker:
I found this quote a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been thinking a lot about it.
Clearly, there are people in our lives who we feel have wronged us.
Sometimes they apologize and ask for forgiveness. And when they do, you may forgive them, or you may tell them what you need from them in order for you to forgive them.
BUT, what if someone has wronged you and is unwilling to apologize. You’ve asked and they’ve refused, or you’ve waited for it and it’s never come.
In my own life, there’s a person with whom I’ve been angry, resentful, and upset. He’s never apologized for a certain situation that was clearly, to me, his responsibility. It’s affected me because he’s not doing what I think he should do.
But reading the quote opened a new door.
Instead of continuing to blame him, I said to myself, “The apology is not coming.”
When I fully accepted the power and beauty of the quote, I was free. I felt an immediate release of stuck, negative energy which was immediately followed by a rush of positive, good energy.
I offer this quote to you as one way of dealing with the hurts in your life that have no apology. My intention is that you find a little more Heaven on Earth in those situations.
With love,
Martin
