Dear Heaven Maker:
My dear friend Jeffrey Van Dyk and I speak every couple of months.
In our most recent conversation, we spoke about how the language we use creates our perception of reality. It’s not just the words, it’s also the actual language itself.
For example, my mother tongue is Yiddish. My parents, sister, and I spoke it at home.
I learned English outside, on the streets and in public school.
Then I learned Hebrew in Hebrew school, and studied French and Latin in high school.
I also know smatterings of German, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
Why am I telling you all of this?
Because when I speak a language my very Being expresses itself through the energetic of that language.
When I speak Yiddish, I feel intimate, soft.
When I speak English, I’m precise, exact.
And when I speak French, I’m polite, I care about the feeling tone of the relationship.
After I told Jeffrey this, he asked, “What’s the language of Heaven on Earth?”
I was stumped. I had no answer.
I said, “You’ve opened a new domain of inquiry for me. You’ve invited me into a journey of discovery.” The next evening I was surfing YouTube and found the video above.
As I was listening to these two women singing, I felt they were expressing the energetic of the Heaven on Earth language.
They were singing together as one Being, while at the same time each was distinct. It moved me to my very Soul.
So, the first part of my answer to Jeffrey’s question is the energetic of the Heaven on Earth language touches the Soul, and resides in Beauty.
What about you?
What is the language of Heaven on Earth for you?
Let me know.
