Dear Heaven Maker:
There are so many negative things going in today’s world: pain, war, environmental decline, pandemics, etc.
I want to share two things with you that I’m doing that really help me step out of the negative thought forms.
No News until 5pm
One way I’ve lessened the impact of all of the negative news is to drastically cut down my news consumption.
I do ‘No News until 5pm.’ That means, no news, NO NEWS, on the internet, TV, radio, or newspapers, until 5pm.
I used to get up and one of the first things I would do was read and listen to the news. It was a jarring way to begin my day and it affected me throughout the day.
Now, with no news until 5pm, the ‘negative charge’ that used to begin my day, is gone.
I still see the news, because I still want to know what’s going on, but only after 5pm, and then only for a maximum of 47 minutes (I just picked that number). And, I’ve been working to lessen and lessen that amount of time.
And, it works.
My mind is quieter. I feel more peaceful. I’m getting more done.
Hugs
The other thing that helps is hugs.
I know that with covid, we still need to keep some physical distance.
When I watched this video, I thought, “Ok, I can’t give physical hugs to everyone, but, I can give mental energetic hugs.” I hold the person I’m hugging in my thoughts and send them love and caring.
So, I’m giving you a mental, energetic hug….right now…right now.
