In Dutch, the word “schorem” means “scum” and generally refers to the lowest of the low, drug addicts, criminals and society’s misfits. Certainly, people who identify with this word would have nothing to do with Heaven on Earth, right?
Well, not quite. This short documentary called Schorem: The Scumbag Barbers of Rotterdam tells the story of an unusual barbershop that is creating Heaven on Earth for men who resonate with feeling misunderstood.
The shop never expected the wild success they’ve had (people lining up on the street hours before they open!) and say they’ll be around for years to come, doing what they do best: great men’s haircuts.
