1. India has declared a plan to only have electric cars by 2030.
   “Union Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines Piyush Goyal said: “We are going to introduce electric vehicles in a very big way. We are going to make electric vehicles self- sufficient….The idea is that by 2030, not a single petrol or diesel car should be sold in the country.”
2. Mary T. Barra, Chief Executive of General Motor’s, America’s largest automaker, said this past September: “G.M.’s vision is a world with zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion.”
