When Dr. Cheryl Clark told me that she was helping create Heaven on Earth in prisons, I didn’t believe her.
But then I caught myself, why not have Heaven on Earth in prison? It’s needed there as much as anywhere else.
Dr. Clark told me about the Shock Incarceration program that she ran in five correctional facilities in New York state. She invited me to come and speak about Heaven on Earth to the correctional officers at one of the facilities. It was a remarkable experience.
Recently, Cheryl and I got on Skype to talk about the Shock Incarceration program, why it works and some of the stories of young people who have gone through it.
