Our Institutions Taking Their Rightful Place in Co-Creating Heaven on Earth

Institutions exist to serve us. They are a collective intention whose expression impacts our world. They participate in and share a leadership role in the creation of something larger and better.

In the context of Heaven on Earth, institutions enliven and ennoble — those who work in them, those they serve, and the world at large. Institutions become efficient, inspiring, and consistently of high service. They take their rightful place in helping co-create Heaven on Earth.

We’ve got to break the hypnotic trance of thinking there’s nothing one individual can do to have our institutions be great agents of Heaven on Earth. We can no longer indulge in our misbelief that one individual can’t change an institution. And, we can no longer let our institutions operate at their current levels — there is so much more potential just waiting to be unleashed.

The potential for consistent greatness already resides in our institutions. We know it during those rare instances when we experience the caliber of that greatness, and we know it by the frustration and anger we feel when our institutions don’t live up to their potential. Our job now is to begin having our institutions live their full potential.

Let’s shift from blaming our institutions to supporting them in discovering the ways and means of expressing their greatness. Let’s unleash the full potential of our institutions so that we experience Heaven on Earth when we work in them and when they serve us. Let’s be willing to be responsible for our institutions really working. Let’s have them be shining examples of collective purpose, service, and results.

What can you do to produce the experience that our institutions are working for us, that we are proud of them, that we are inspired by them? What would it take for you to be proud of your government? Would you be willing to take on your own religion and make it work? What about the media, science, law, or any of the other institutions of society — would you be willing to be responsible for helping one of them take their rightful place in co-creating Heaven on Earth?

Imagine having a magic wand and with it having an institution actually begin the process of heavening itself and those it serves. What’s the institution? What’s Heaven on Earth for this institution? What simple, easy, concrete step will you take to begin moving in this direction?
